Weeping Lilly Pilly
Waterhousea floribunda
Although quite large in its natural habitat, the Weeping Lilly Pilly grows smaller in cultivation. A very attractive medium sized rainforest tree, it has a lovely weeping habit and wavy edged leaves with pink new growth. It flowers in summer with trusses of white fluffy flowers, followed by pale pink fruit. Happiest in a sunny spot, it needs good regular watering to establish and will then tolerate some dry spells. A fast growing plant, it is suitable for larger gardens and properties and especially good as a large hedge or screen.
