Silky Oak is one of the most popular ornamental native trees in Australia, with abundant bright yellow grevillea flowers in spring. Renowned as a cabinet timber tree, it is very adaptable to different climates and soil types and can tolerate both drought and frost. It attracts a variety of wildlife, such as bees, nectar eating birds, butterflies, other insects and possums. NOTE: Do not plant too close to buildings or pipes
