Scarlet Fuchsia
Graptophyllum excelsum
Another hardy native shrub that is perfect for many gardens, the Scarlet Fuchsia is an attractive foliage plant that is spectacular when in flower. Its deep scarlet red, tubular flowers bloom in spring and early summer. It prefers semi to full shade, however it can handle exposure to full sun, although this will result in more yellow rather than dark green leaves. Suitable for most soils, it requires only occasional pruning.
