Grevillea Golden Lyre
Grevillea x ‘Golden Lyre’
Named for its arching ‘lyre’ shape, Grevillea ‘Golden Lyre’ is a stunning, low growing plant that is smothered in large, bright yellow flowers in late summer and autumn. ‘Golden Lyre’ grows well on the north coast, where it can form a breathtaking specimen up to 6m wide with hundreds of flowers. If you don’t want it to get that big just do some judicious pruning. Trim any spent flower heads throughout the season, and at the end of the flowering period cut it back quite hard. For best results it prefers full sun and well drained soil, such as a raised bed.
