Bracelet Honey Myrtle
Melaleuca armillaris
This lovely fast growing bushy shrub displays showy small soft pink flowers in spring and summer, which are very attractive to birds. A very hardy plant, it adapts to most situations including frosty, boggy & coastal. As it ages the bark gains character by furrowing and peeling back in typical paperbark fashion. It grows quickly and thickly, making a good screen or hedge. If you want to keep it thick and rich green, trim it often and it will respond well with thick new growth.
